Long exposure shoots can produce gorgeous effects and spur your creativity. All you need is a stable support for your camera and a bit of patience.

When you are shooting a long exposure take time to choose the best point of view.

Every time you place your tripod for a long exposure or for a time lapse, wich takes you a lot of time, try to choose the best point of view before starting. Most of times you’ll have just two or three shot for each situation, specially in a winter evening.

Getting back saying “I should have…I could have…” can be very frustrating.

I wanted a genuine photo, without stitching.

In this case I would like to shoot some traffic trails and the scenery choosed helped to create the surreal feeling I was looking for. I wanted a genuine photo, without stitching, so I had to wait a lot to reach the expected trails. The photograph here have an exposure time of about 8s, but for each shot I had to stay there for 10/15 minutes to have the right one.
