New York | MoMA

Il MoMA di New York è un edificio moderno e lineare. L’architettura si sposa decisamente bene con i capolavori che vi si possono trovare e ammirare.

The Museum of Modern Art in New York is a modedrn and linear building. The architecture pairs almost perfectly with the stunning pieces of art you can find there.

 

 

Visitando il museo la mia attenzione è stata catturata dall’interazione tra le persone e l’arte. Quello che ho notato più di tutto è stata una sorta di deferenza nei confronti dell’arte. Ho cercato di raccontare questa interazione realizzando delle composizioni che mettessero in connessione le persone con le opere d’arte.

Riguardo la gif animata in copertina devo ammettere che è stata inizialmente pensata come una panoramica. Andando poi a lavorare le immagini ho preferito montarla come gif piuttosto che fondere le immagini in una unica fotografia. Credo che in definitiva la soluzione sia così più immersiva e racconti meglio l’impressione che fa trovarsi davanti ai circa 13 metri di ninfee dipinti da Monet.

Visiting the MoMA I was captured by the interaction between people and art. What most of all I noticed is such a deference of art. I tried to catch compositions to connect people and those masterpieces.

Photographs and animated gif realized with Canon EOS 5D and Canon EF 35mm 1.4.

About the animated gif I have to say that it was initially realized for a panorama.

Finally, working on the images, I preferred to create the animated gif instead to stitch the images in a single photo. In conclusion I think that this solution is better because more immersive and the mood seems more like the real feeling you have in front of the 41 feet long Monet’s Water Lilies painting.
